Where do I begin?

Before scheduling a complimentary consultation, please look at the resume samples we have created. This will give you an understanding of the high quality of our work and an appreciation of how a customized resume can get you ahead faster in your career.

 

How much does it cost?

After looking at our samples, review the resume packages and pricing on the website. Knowing this information in advance will allow us to spend the bulk of your 15-minute complimentary consultation on the important stuff — where your career is going next and how we can help you get there.

 

When can we talk?

Select “Book Now” on any page of our site to book a 15-minute complimentary consultation. You’ll be directed to our calendar to reserve your appointment time. There will be a field for you to summarize your career situation.

 

What do I do while I’m waiting for my consultation appointment?

Within 24 hours, we will email you a request for your most recent resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile URL. Please reply to this email as soon as possible.

 

What can I talk about in the consultation?

At your 15-minute complimentary consultation, we will discuss your:

  • Targeted positions and companies

  • Short-and long-term career goals

  • Job concerns or challenges

  • Career highlights and successes

 

We will brainstorm strategies to help you achieve your career goals. Then, you can choose a package or service that fits you best. Once you have decided to invest in a top-notch document or coaching, we will begin the new client welcome process.

 

I’m in! How does this work?

During 15 years of working with job seekers, we have developed a streamlined system, ensuring the smooth management of your project.

 

Our process, step-by-step:

  • First, you will be emailed an invoice to pay online within 24 hours.

  • Then, you will be sent our client agreement for your digital signature.

  • After payment is made and the agreement is signed, we will email you our Prep for Success Resume Questionnaire, STAR Stories Worksheet, and other instructions to get started.

  • We will set up a shared Google Drive folder for you with worksheets and other resources that will help you reach your career goal.

  • As soon as possible, we will schedule a 60-minute phone appointment to review the information you will write about in the intake worksheets. This usually takes place a week or two after the complimentary consultation to give you enough time to complete your prep work.

  • The worksheets MUST be completed and returned via email 2–3 business days before the intake appointment so that we can be prepared to ask you relevant questions about your career history. If you cannot meet this requirement, please let us know as soon as possible so we can reschedule and allow you more time to complete this crucial work.  

  • After the intake interview, if there is any remaining information you need to find for us, you can email it later. Understand that we wait to start developing your document until everything is submitted. 

  • After the intake appointment AND any additional information has been emailed, you will receive the first drafts of your documents within 10–14 business days.

  • Once you receive your drafts, you will have the opportunity to make revisions and ask questions. Edits are conducted via email. A careful review of all details is imperative.

  • A short phone conversation can be scheduled to complete the project. After 30 minutes, we can continue our discussion at a $125/hour coaching rate unless your package includes follow-up coaching.

  • Upon finalization of the documents, we will send your resume in .docx and .pdf versions. Microsoft Word is required to view and edit the documents we create. A monthly subscription only costs about $10 per month.

We work hard to ensure our clients are satisfied with their documents; however, with frequent changes in the job market and considering individual effort and actions in a job search, no one can guarantee success. We’d be skeptical of anyone who does.

 

Can we talk more after the resume is done?

Of course! You may also benefit from job search, social media, or interview coaching, and we’d be happy to provide those services. We are available for additional job search help after completing your resume. Please review our coaching packages.
